18u Boys Shine @ National Junior Olympics!
The Marin Water Polo 18U boys team recently competed in the 2024 USA Water Polo Junior Olympics tournament, held from July 20-23 in Northern California. Despite being a small team with (for most of their games) only one substitute player, they displayed remarkable resilience and skill, moving up their ranking by 13 places by the end of the tournament.
The Marin Water Polo 18U boys team should be commended for their outstanding achievement. Their ability to overcome the challenges of a small roster and still excel at the highest level of junior water polo is truly inspiring.
The Marin Water Polo program also has reason to celebrate the success of its graduated players who are headed to play at the college level: Vaughn (Chapman University), Ben (Santa Rosa Junior College) and Andrew (Arizona State University). These athletes have represented their team and community with distinction, and their college commitments are a well-deserved recognition of their talent and hard work.
The future looks bright for the Marin Water Polo program, and the 18U boys team has set a high bar for their peers to follow. Congratulations to all the players, coaches, and supporters who have contributed to this impressive achievement.
